Sponsored Links In early March, General Motors halted production at the Gravataí plant in Brazil due to a shortage of electronic components necessary for the locally built Chevy Onix which, in addition to being the most popular car in the South American country, is the only vehicle manufactured in that facility. Although the restart of activities was scheduled for next month at the latest, now the Gravataí plant will remain closed until mid-August. The automaker just announced that the Gravataí plant will resume production on August 16 th, as the supply problems are preventing the company from complying with the previous schedule. This will mark an unprecedented production interruption of at least five and a half months for the Chevy Onix in Brazil, the longest assembly plant shutdown so far caused by the shortage of semiconductors.

Meanwhile, in other swine-related news, Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau announced on Tuesday that Singapore has agreed to a zoning arrangement that would allow for the continued trade of swine products from disease-free zones in Canada in the event of an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF.) Kotoko are eagerly keeping an eye on Hearts’ away clash with Legon Cities on Thursday as three points for the Phobians will likely result in a drop to the second position, owing to an inferior goal difference. Ghana’s two biggest clubs, Kotoko and Hearts are set for a big showdown on Sunday in what could have a big impact on the ultimate winner of the Premier League. The former, with 23 titles, have not won the championship since 2014, while the latter, with 19 successes to their name, have not clinched gold since 2009. Great Olympics are one of two sides who benefitted from Karela’s drop on the league table as Maxwell Abbey-Ashie Quaye’s 58th-minute strike ensured a 1-0 home win over Bechem United.

Everything New on Netflix in July 2021 As usual, there are more new movies and shows coming to Netflix next month than time to actually watch them all. The most intriguing titles in July are probably  Fear Street, a trilogy of R-rated horror films based on the R.L. Stine book series. Each movie is set in a different time period with a different cast, but each also connects to the others. Those will be released weekly over the course of the month. There’s also the first He-Man cartoon in years.  Masters cartoon, and it comes from executive producer Kevin Smith. Plus, the streaming service is also adding

Rodney Hunter. Videograb: usun.usmission.gov/   The United States voted against a U.N. resolution on June 23 that overwhelmingly condemned the American economic embargo of Cuba for the 29th year, maintaining the Trump administration’s opposition and refusing to return to the Obama administration’s 2016 abstention. The vote in the 193-member General Assembly was 184 countries supporting the condemnation, the United States and Israel opposing it, and Brazil, Colombia and Ukraine abstaining. Four countries did not vote — Central African Republic, Myanmar, Moldova and Somalia. Before the vote, the U.S. Mission’s political coordinator, Rodney Hunter, told the assembly that the Biden administration voted “no” because the United States believes sanctions are key to advancing democracy and human rights which “remain at the core of our policy efforts toward Cuba”. “Sanctions are a legitimate way to achieve foreign policy, national security, and other national and international objectives,” Mr. Hunter said, “and are one set of tools in our broader effort toward Cuba to advance democracy, promote respect for human rights, and help the Cuban people exercise the fundamental freedoms enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.” “We therefore oppose this resolution,” he said.
